After moving to a new city, I realised how hard it was to make friends as an adult. No longer surrounded by schoolmates or university friends, I found myself asking—where do you even start?
Turns out, I wasn’t alone. So I created The Tribe—a welcoming, no-pressure space for women to meet, connect, and build real friendships.
What started as a small idea in Auckland has now grown into New Zealand’s largest women’s-only friendship community. We believe every woman deserves a circle of supportive, fun, and like-minded friends. And we’re here to help you find yours.

Whether you’re new to town, looking to expand your circle, or just keen for fun experiences with great people—the Tribe is for you!
How do I join an event?
It’s super simple!

2️⃣ Choose an event that interests you.
3️⃣ RSVP online to secure your spot.
4️⃣ Show up & enjoy! We’ll handle the rest.
All events are designed to be friendly, casual, and easy to attend solo—so no need to bring a friend. Just come as you are!
I’m nervous about coming alone—will I feel awkward?
Not at all! Most women attend solo, so you definitely won’t be the only one. Tribe events are designed to be welcoming, and our hosts are amazing at making everyone feel comfortable.
If you’re feeling a little hesitant, you can:
💬 Message the event host before attending—they’ll be happy to say hi beforehand!
👋 Arrive a little early to meet others before things get started.
💛 Remember, everyone is there to meet new people too!
How much do events cost?
We’ve introduced a Pay-What-You-Like option, so you choose the amount that works for you! Some special events (like high teas or wine tastings) may have a set price, but most are flexible so everyone can join in, no matter the budget.

That depends on which level of subscription you've purchased. Benefits range from discounts on events, to unlimited friendship events each month. Can I cancel my subscription anytime if I'm busy at work, heading away, or need a break from things?

Do I have to pick up a subscription to attend events?
Nah. That'd be dum. If you prefer the idea of picking up a 1-off ticket, go for it!

Can I host an event?
Absolutely! If you're keen to meet new people and make some lovely new friends, you'll love hosting! Even better, you'll get lots of help and support. In fact, we'll manage the whole thing for you. We'll do the promotion, let you know when the girls sign up and remind everyone as your event gets closer. You'll also get a free 6-month Tribe subscription which means you can freely RSVP to any Tribe Events that catch your eye. Is this suitable for all ages?
Absolutely! If you don't see any events on for gals in your age range, let's fix that by you hosting something. That way, you can meet the other gals who're in your age-range. I'll help!

There aren't any events on for me. What should I do?
Well, you could always host your own! Hosting is free and I'll help spread the word so you've nothing more to do than sit back, relax, and be there a few minutes earlier than everyone else.
