Tramping Tribe - The Pinnacles Walk & Girls Weekend Away

Start 2023 off with a bang as you, and your fellow Tribe Gals, walk to the Pinnacles Summit. Heralded as one of the best one-day treks in NZ, and among the top 50 'single-day treks' in the world  🤩 Your eyes will feast on the sweeping views of the Coromandel Peninsula and the limestone cliffs that have created what are now known as the Pinnacle Rocks; huge limestone columns.

Those who've completed this 12 km adventure will tell you it's a steep climb in parts but wildly worth it. You'll need to be moderately fit but, as long as you can manage 7-9 hours of slog 😅 you'll be as good as gold. 

The plan is you'll meet in Thames the night before, head out for a pub meal and spend the night. 

The following morning you'll carpool to the start of the walk, spend the day enjoying the climb. That night you'll spend either camping, or sleeping in the hutt, and the following day, walk back down for goodbye cuddles and home-time.

A truly spectacular weekend adventure of good times, great girl chats and creating memories that'll last forever as you knock the Pinnacles of the ole' bucket list .

Heres the Schedule:

Tribe Tramping Club - The Pinnacles Climb & Weekend Away -

• Sunday 29th Jan - Meet up and carpool together to the start of the Pinnacles walk. Walk to the Pinnacles Hut (approximately 3 hours) where we can unwind, rest up and have dinner together.
• Monday 30th Jan - Wake up, have brekkie together and walk a short distance to the Summit to enjoy a truly spectacular sunrise. Walk back towards the car park (can stop in between for lunch), retrieve cars and carpool back home. Bring shared meal supplies!

Good news! Tribe events are designed to be attended solo because everyone you meet is there to make new friends too.

Worried you won't be fit enough?

This tramp requires a moderate level of fitness with you walking 7-9 hours which, at times, can be very steep. The weather can be unpredicatable as well so do your physical preparation while still remembering, this isn't an iron woman competition and you can go at your own pace 😜
