60+ Gals - Monthly Culture Club

If you're keen to 'find your tribe' while exploring various places in/around the central suburbs, this gorgeous monthly mixer is for you.

You'll meet your lovely host Jane Norman and your  fellow, 60+ Tribe Gals while getting some fresh air and a little smile-er-size with gal-time that explores various arty walk & talks for gal-time that's good for you.

Whats The Plan?

Month # 1- Coffee, Chat & Poetry Waterfront Walk -

Explore the famed waterfront pedestrian precinct & the 15 text sculptures – created by artist Catherine Griffiths – featuring quotes about the city by well known New Zealand writers.

The perfect self-guided talk/chat/tour if you've a taste for well-chosen words and phrases from famous NZ writers: Katherine Mansfield, Robin Hyde, Pat Lawlor, Denis Glover, James K. Baxter, Bruce Mason, Lauris Edmond, Maurice Gee, Patricia Grace, Vincent O’Sullivan, Fiona Kidman, Barbara Anderson, Alistair Te Ariki Campbell, Eileen Duggan and Bill Manhire.

Month #2 - Oriental Bay Walk, Talk & Heritage Home Gazing -

If you're a fan of beautiful old homes, this one's for you! Join your fellow Tribe Gals as you meet at Te Papa for admiring the variety of original Wellington homes as you walk & talk yourselves to Oriental Bay for a cuppa.

Month #3 - Rose Garden Explore, Garden Cafe Cuppa & Henry Moore Sculpture Walk

Stop and smell the roses as you appreciate the beauty of the rose garden, followed by a cuppa and catchup at the Gardens Cafe. Then afterward, enjoy a short but very sweet stroll to the Henry Moore sculpture walk.

Month #4 - Explore the Arts Centre, Cuppa, Chat and Exhibition Walk

Connect with your fellow Tribe Gals while exploring the Art Centre. See the current exhibition and dive into the various wee gems the Art Centre have on offer. Connect with each other while exploring some fabulous NZ art and defrag the days findings over a cuppa together afterward.

Tribe events are designed to be joined solo because everyone you meet is there to make new friends too. You'll love it!
